Discussion held during the open session of the meeting:

Discussion of Accreditation Conference attended by Darren Beck and Redge Hudson. It was very long and too expensive but learned we are track for our own accreditation.

Discussion of a Volunteer Coordinator for volunteer opportunities that deal directly with the school and are not a part of the FSO volunteer opportunities. She would be able to make reminder calls from school. Board thought that this was a good idea and will be implemented for this upcoming school year.

Discussion on technology consultants. Jennifer Maroney is going to talk to Geeks Direct and one other company for comparision and will present this at the next board meeting.

Angie will look for more information regarding RemindMeCall. Rob McNair also suggested that we need to look at our total technology needs and possibly put them under an all encompassing technology solution.

Listened to request from Eagle Mountain Public Library and Brenda Park will get all necessary information to Darren who will talk to the teachers. Brenda Park will act as a liason between EMPL and the school.

FSO presented the board with its 2006-2007 budget. The budget does not include activities for the 7/8th grade.

A few parents were present to hear about our middle school location and to ask questions. One parent has swatch samples for the new red shirts which will be posted on the door by the class lists.
