The Family School Organization (FSO) is the parental support system for the school. The mission and objectives of the FSO are as follows:

-To help The Ranches Academy Charter School accomplish its goals and objectives as defined in its charter.
-To involve parents in and promote a better understanding of the educational program of The Ranches Academy.
-To provide meaningful events and activities that will enhance the educational experience provided at The Ranches Academy.
-To promote a closer relationship between parents and the school, that the parents and teachers may work cooperatively in educating children.

All families in the school are part of the FSO. No dues or membership fees are required. Each family gets one vote in all school voting matters.

All FSO meetings will be held on the third Monday of each month at 1:30 pm at the school. All are invited to attend. Click here for the agenda.

Every last Friday of the month, the FSO will be sending out a newsletter. If you do not receive one or have any questions, please contact Katie Allen at fsocommittees@theranchesacademy.com.

**If you wish to submit anything for the FSO newsletter it must be turned in by the 20th of the previous month to Katie.**

The Ranches Academy requests that all parents volunteer 40 hours each school year (see enrollment application). The governing board passed a motion in 2005 requiring 40 hours of volunteer work to maintain sibling preference in the enrollment lottery. Volunteer hours can be reported by e-mail: volunteerhours@theranchesacademy.com or they can be reported on the sign up sheet located at the office. Please continue to log hours even after 40 hours have been completed, because these hours can help Ranches Academy to qualify for grants.
