Minutes for February 27th FSO Board Meeting

–General FSO Meeting. No general membership present.

1. Closed FSO Board Meeting called to order by Joylin Lincoln at 8:49. Those present were: Joylin Lincoln, Wendy Ford, Sara Skidmore, Valerie Mattensen, Robin Allred, Shauna Vorkink, Amy Shawgo and Trisha Johnson.

2. Minutes reviewed for Jan 23rd meeting. Trisha motioned approval, 2nd from Wendy. Unanimous vote. Minutes approved.

3. Business
-Appreciation given for all the hard work given by volunteers.
-Volunteer appreciation week April 3-7th. All volunteers having reached their 40-hour requirement will be invited to an appreciation party held April 7th at 2:00 in the gym-pending approval from Principal Beck. There will be a possible Fondue Fountain.
-Rad Kid Training-need volunteers to complete the Rad Kid training through the Sheriff’s Dept.
-Huntsman Award Nomination-FSO committee have nominated Stephanie Colson to be considered for this award. Principal Beck and Joylin will complete the necessary paperwork.
-All committee heads were asked to prepare a 2006-207 budget recommendation and, if they will not be coming back next year as committee heads, to provide a replacement recommendation by the March FSO mtg.
4. Committee Reports
?Academic- PI Day- March 14th-ready to go
?Artistic- Kids’ Club-March 24th and 31st. Need two teachers. Discussion of a 4th class for the 24th.
?Health & Safety- proposed to have Natl. Guard donate a climbing wall for the roundup if we have some kind of drug awareness. Discussion of different kinds of awareness-no decisions as yet.
?Lunch- Discussion of the new Monday menu and several changes were suggested. No decisions as yet.
?Newsletter- Newsletters Mar 31, April 28, and May 26. Get any info to Brigitte for March Newsletter by 27th.
?Photography-Discussion of getting pictures for the yearbook by March, no set date as of yet.
?School Play- no business
?Reading-Jazz reading competition ends March 13th, but there will still be a drawing the following Mon morning. AR report program. Discussion of classes who had reports go home.
?Room Mothers-no business.
?Teacher Appreciation- Teacher Appreciation luncheon March 6th. Teacher Appreciation week May 8-12.
?Yearbook- get pictures in ASAP

5. Budget- no business

Other-copies-reminder to fill out copy use form for all items copied. If no forms are in the red folder, then fill out a blank sheet of paper.
