Mrs. Moellmer

Hello, My name is Mary Moellmer. I am very excited about my fourth year here at The Ranches Academy. I am originally from Colorado and earned My Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from the University of Northern Colorado. My minor was in special education and I have spent several years teaching early childhood special education classes. My family (my husband Keith and I, and our two children) moved to Eagle Mountain about five years ago and we all love it!

I have been a teacher for many years. I spent 5 years teaching combined early childhood classes and 4 years teaching early childhood special needs. I have also been a director for commercial as well as private day care centers/preschools as well as a trainer for a large corporation. My first love however, is teaching young children. I believe that you do your best work as a teacher by getting to know students individually, and then help them to find and develop their strengths and build their self-confidence. I love helping children discover the world around them and unlock their own potential.

I am looking forward to getting to know you and your children this year. We have a busy and exciting year planned and I know that we will all learn a great deal and have fun doing it!

Mrs. Moellmer has a level 2 teaching license and has met the requirements of a highly qualified educator.

Class Supply List

A pair of scissors

2 box of crayons (1 is put away until after Winter Break)

8 plastic (not paper) pocket folders with prongs

(2 blue, 2 green, 2yellow, 2 of your choice)

3 white board markers (different colors)

1White board eraser (can be a piece of cloth)

1 flexible, plastic 1/2 inch 3 ring binders

48 pencils ( I know that seems like a lot, you can send some now and some later in the year if you like)

3 sheet protectors

2 erasaers or a box of pencil top erasers

2 boxes of kleenx

1 SMALL pencil box(big enough to hold 2 pencils, erasers, and white board markers)

Please DO NOT put your names on your folders or pencils

Please DO put your name on everything else
