MY CLASS CORNER
Mrs. Jennifer Payne

I grew up in Orem where I attended
Mountain View High School and UVSC.
I then moved to Cedar City where I attended Southern Utah
University.
I graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education with
minors in Fine Arts and Media. SUU is also where I met my
husband of 20 years.
We have lived in Lehi since 2001 and have two children: Sara
who is 16 and Jared who is 14.
I have worked here at The Ranches Academy for 5 years teaching
5th grade. I have taught Preschool, Special-Ed, 1st and 2nd
grade, and Music, but teaching 5th graders has been my favorite.
I think 5th grade is a fabulous experience, and it's fun to work with students
who enjoy learning and having fun.
In my spare time I love being with my family where we enjoy
spending time in the outdoors camping and wheeler riding,
and watching movies, while eating popcorn. I also enjoy reading,
crafts, painting, shopping, and going to dinner with friends.
I have a great time teaching children, and I admire each
and every student as they learn, grow, and mature. In addition
I get a kick out of the funny things that they say and do,
and I appreciate the laughter that the children bring to the
classroom. I sincerely look forward to the many opportunities
we will have to work together to make this year a challenging,
valuable, and positive learning experience, and I am excited
to get to know each student and show them that learning can
be fun.
