MY CLASS CORNER
Mrs. Carolyn Weimer

My husband and I moved to Utah in 2005 with our children. I am originally from
Western Kentucky near Fort Campbell. My B.S. degree in early
childhood education was earned at Murray State University
with teaching certifications, grades K-8, in Kentucky and
Tennessee. I have over nine years teaching experience in
public and private schools in Kentucky and Tennessee. In addition,
I have twenty years of cumulative experience teaching and
supervising learning disabled students in an after-school
tutorial program. I also have 5 years of experience in a private
home school environment teaching six children in grades 1
through 7.
I graduated from the University of
Phoenix in October, 2006 with a Master of Arts in Curriculum
and Instruction and have taught at Ranches Academy for six
years. I am currently working on an Endorsement in Reading.
I believe the primary purpose of education
is to prepare our children to be successful, well-educated,
analytical assets to society. As a teacher, I feel it is my
duty to give them the foundation of information and then give
them the resources to learn how to connect the information
and begin to think and analyze on their own. I believe we
are partners in your child's education and I am looking forward
to working with you in the coming months. First grade is a
wonderful, fun year in which your child will learn many new
things. As partners we can make this a wonderful year. Thank
you in advance for giving me this chance to spend the coming
months with your child.
